Day One

From you home pick-up you will join your coach and travel to Gloucester for free time, thanks to its strategic position on the River Severn and close to the Welsh border, the city of Gloucester has a rich historic past stretching back to Roman times. At its heart stands the Norman Cathedral with its magnificent fan vaulted cloisters and great east window. A walk down narrow cobbled streets and past ancient buildings leads into the main pedestrianized shopping area, a short stroll away from the dramatic waterfront of the Victorian Docks with its impressive converted warehouses. We continue in the late afternoon to our hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day Two

After breakfast we depart for a drive along the beautiful Wye Valley to the historic town of Monmouth, we continue from here to Symonds Yat where we enjoy a cruise on the River Wye with a delicious cream tea, following which we head for Ross-on-Wye with time for lunch. This afternoon we return to Chepstow via the scenic route through the Forest of Dean.

Day Three

Today we travel to the Welsh Capital, Cardiff and a visit to St Fagan's Castle and the Museum of Welsh Life.
St Fagans is a Grade I listed building and one of the finest Elizabethan Manor houses in Wales, beautiful garden displays surround the Castle and traditional crafts and activities bring St Fagans museum to life. Free time this afternoon in Cardiff before we return to our hotel for dinner.

Day Four

We depart for the Brecon Beacons this morning and enjoy wonderful mountain scenery. We join the Brecon Mountain Railway for the journey along the Taf Fechan Reservoir to Dol-y-Gaer route. There will be a short stop at Pontsticill to admire the views, we make stops at Brecon and Abergavenny before return to our hotel.

Day Five

This morning we bid farewell and before our journey home with a lunch stop in the Shropshire town of Ludlow.
