There are many delights of the North, stunning scenery, historic towns and more. The region has a lot to offer no matter what time of year you visit. On this holiday we visit the amazing Beamish Open-Air Museum as well as the bustling city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

We depart from your home with our exclusive door to door pick-up service and travel to the northeast, arriving late afternoon at Redworth Hall Hotel, tea and coffee will be served on arrival.
Todays outing takes us north to as we visit the famous Beamish North of England Open Air Museum, capturing the spirit of the North East in the 1800s and 1900s. Attractions include restored tram and replica bus rides, authentic town street, colliery village, go down the mine, old fashioned sweet shop, working farm, steam locomotives and much more. From here we make our way back to the hotel with time to relax before dinner.
This morning we travel North, stopping for a short break at the Angel of the North, a huge landmark of the North-east and a great photo op! Then, onto Newcastle-upon-Tyne where we enjoy the day at leisure. You can obtain lunch at any of the fine cafes and tearooms dotted across the historic city.
Perhaps visit the Great North Museum, the Life Centre or Northumberland Street and its many shops. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, you could walk down to the Quayside and see the famous Tyne and Millennium bridges.
This morning we visit Richmond, a pretty town where we stop for time to explore and wander at leisure. You could enjoy the walk around Richmond Castle or perhaps visit the Green Howards Regimental Museum during our visit.
Later, we visit the Dales Countryside Museum which tells the fascinating story of the Yorkshire Dales and the people who have lived and worked here and shaped the landscape for thousands of years and what makes it so special. Afterwards, we drive through the dales enjoying some beautiful scenery, passing through Kirkby Stephen and returning to the hotel for dinner.
After breakfast we leave our hotel and begin our journey home.

The Redworth Hall Hotel, Durham, is surrounded by landscaped gardens and woodland. It is a stunning Jacobean House offering a traditional atmosphere with a modern twist. Features include restaurant, bar, lounge and leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, gym, spa pool, steam room and solarium. All bedrooms are en-suite and have television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.
DAY ONE - Arrival
