DAY THREE – City of Derry

Today we visit the enchanting city of Derry and learn the fascinating history behind the 2013 UK City of Culture. First, we embark on the most informative attraction in Derry – The Walking Tour. After the tour, why not visit the enthralling Museum of Free Derry, an archive focussing on the civil rights era of the 1960s and the Free Derry/early troubles era of the 1970s.

We then have some free time in this historical City. Be sure to visit Guild Hall; home to the City Council’s chamber and Mayor’s Parlour. You could even wander over the Peace Bridge, Derry’s bridge built over the River Foyle to unite the City.

If you would prefer to stay closer to the hotel there are plenty of other highlights to see in Belfast City including City Hall, St. George’s Market, St. Anne’s Cathedral, the Botanic Gardens and the Crown Liquor Saloon, a splendid gin palace and famous landmark.
