New Year in Derby

The city of Derby lies on the banks of the River Derwent, situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park. There is a lot to see and do, with plenty of shopping facilities, museums, art galleries and interesting landmarks such as the famous Gothic Cathedral, known as the Cathedral of all saints.

Day One

We depart for Derby, visiting the superb Potteries Museum & Art Gallery on route, located in the centre of Hanley. Arriving late afternoon, we will enjoy an evening meal.


Day Two

We make our way to the legendary Derwent Valley, a world heritage site. We will visit Mason Mill, once owned by the industrialist Sir Richard Arkwright.

Day Three

A Bucks Fizz Brunch will be served this morning, and then there will be a full day to explore the city. In the evening you will enjoy a three course meal followed by entertainment.

Day Four

We shall depart Derby after a relaxed breakfast, expecting to be back in the local area mid-afternoon.
