This afternoon we arrive in Praia de Vitoria, Terceira Island, Azores. Praia de Vitoria was once heavily fortified and parts of the old town wall can still be seen, overlooked by the 16th century Fort of Santa Catarina. The Vibrant, historic town centre features the Church of Santa Cruz and the Town Hall, whilst a tour to UNESCO listed Angra do Heroismo is highly recommended

This morning we arrive in Horta, Faial Island, Azores - a marvellous unspoilt treasure, you will be almost immediately enveloped in beauty at the Blue Flag Marina, home to an open-air exhibition of visiting sailors paintings. Stunning landscapes surround the city, a mix of lakes, cliffe and valleys as well as the intriguing volcanic structures, Caldeira and Capelinhos.

Our stop today is Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel Island, Azores - Ponta Delgada boasts a fine array of parks, cobbled streets and squares, a modern marina and waterside cafes. Owing to its location on Sao Miguel Island it is also the gateway to the extinct Sete Cidades Volcano with its picturesque crater lakes, hot springs and fumaroles of the mystical Furnas Valley and much more.

DAY 10

This morning we arrive in Funchal, Madeira, alongside the blissful colours and scents, the benign climate in Funchal lends itself well to exploration, be it admiring the stunning landscapes via the unqieu levada irrigation network or taking on one of the many enchanting gardens at your leisure. Sampling the island's famous wine is the ideal complement to your captivating journey of discovery.

This afternoon we arrive in Porto, Portugal - a short journey from Leixoes takes you into the heart of Porto, with its fortress like cathedral and baroque architecture, including the magnificent Clerigos Church. Head to the historic, UNESCO list Ribeira District where narrow cobbled lanes meander down to the Douro River. Do not forget to visit one of the many wine cellars for a taste of the tipple named after the city - Port !!

We cruise back into Liverpool to be met by your door to door service home
