Day One

From your home pick-up join your coach for the journey north to Scotland and your hotel, time to relax before dinner.

Day Two

We take a drive into the beautiful scenery of the Trossachs, a delight area of lochs and mountains and we head to Loch Katrine where we have an included lunch at the Brenachoile Restaurant, then board the Steamship SS Walter Scott for a two hour afternoon cruise along the full length of the loch.

Day Three

We head to Falkirk to experience a boat trip with a difference, the steam powered Falkirk Wheel is a fascinating experience, a unique rotating boat lift built to link the Union Canal with the Forth and Clyde Canal some 35 metres above. We then drive to Bo'ness to take our seats for a nostalgic steam train ride on the Bo'ness Kinneil Railway. Our journey will take us to the southern shores of the Firth of Forth from Bo'ness to Manuel and return with reserved seats in the dining car and traditional afternoon tea served during the journey.

Day Four

Today we make our way to Loch Lomond where there will be some time to explore then in the afternoon enjoy a tea dance on board the Steamship Maid of the Loch - please note this ship is permanently moored and does not sail.

This morning after breakfast we begin our journey home with refreshment stops enroute.

WINNOCK HOTEL, Drymen 3 star 

 

This charming family run hotel takes centre stage on the green in the village of Drymen, sensitively extended and refurnished I t retains its traditional bars and log fires and offers a warm and friendly atmosphere.  Bedrooms are tastefully decorated with satellite TV, telephone and tea/coffee facilities.  The hotel does not have a lift but some ground floor rooms available.
