The Great Dorset Steam Fair is an annual show featuring steam-powered vehicles and machinery; the fair was founded in 1968 and it has been held every summer since. Staged at Tarrant Hinton near Blandford Forum in Dorset, the show now covers 600 acres and runs for five days and it is one of the largest outdoor shows in Europe.

On Saturday 13 October, the London Welsh Male Voice Choir will present the 26th London Welsh Festival of Male Choirs in the Royal Albert Hall, with 15 guest choirs, this biennial festival has become recognised as one of the world's premier massed choral concerts.

Crafts in 'The Pen' is a festive crafts market that takes place each year at the Skipton Auction Mart, the event has rapidly grown into a wonderful crafts market the whole family can enjoy, as well as over 230 stalls, Crafts in the Pen is home to a twinkling 'Starlight Café' for the grown ups and a free grotto.
