Delve into the history of the famous markets and landmarks of London on this exciting tour which takes you back in history following tales of rags to riches.
Bletchley Park | Barrow Boys and Bankers Tour | Canary Wharf | Imperial War Museum
We depart from your home with our door-to-door pick-up service and travel to Hertfordshire arriving at the Mercure Hatfield Oak Hotel late afternoon.
Today we visit Bletchley Park, home of the secret WW2 Enigma decoding machine, and also the birthplace of the modern computer. There are lots to see here and we hear tales of spies and strategic deception. The ornate Victorian mansion was headquarters of British intelligence staff during the war and the outstanding Churchill Collection is not to be missed.
Today we head south into London to meet our guide for todays Barrow Boys and Bankers tour. We hear contrasting stories of rags and riches in London districts a stones throw from each other but worlds apart. This morning it is the atmospheric streets and alleys including Borough Market, home to the barrow boys in the shadow of the bankers' skyscrapers in the city. We head for the City, Londons financial district, home to the major banks and insurance companies, and make our way to Canary Wharf. Here we take a break with chance to look around before we return to the hotel.
After a leisurely breakfast we visit the superb Imperial War Museum at Duxford. Formerly a RAF base Duxford is today Europes foremost aviation museum and is part of the Imperial War Museum. See the spectacular collection of British and American planes, a terrific assortment of tanks, vehicles, naval exhibits, and more.
After our breakfast we depart and begin our journey home.

DAY ONE

DDAY TWO
