Our tour takes us to Chatsworth the magnificent Derbyshire home of the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire set amid breath taking scenery; be one of the first this year to see the Great House decorated for Christmas with foliage, lights and candles evoking the spirit of Christmas.

DAY ONE – Bakewell and Arrival
We depart from your home and join the coach to journey to Bakewell en route to our hotel. Enjoy a little while here looking around the town and perhaps enjoy a break for lunch and visit the many interesting places around the town.
DAY TWO – Chatsworth House & Gardens
After a leisurely breakfast we depart for Chatsworth; every year the majestic estate of the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire is transformed into a festive wonderland with its rooms lavishly decorated with garlands, twinkling lights and candles, complemented by the smell of Christmas trees and the sounds of carols which add to the atmosphere.
DAY THREE – Hardwick Hall
Today we explore Hardwick Hall, it is one of the finest Elizabethan buildings in the country. A big claim but they are confident you’ll agree. Full of architectural and artistic delights from Elizabethan embroidery to Forties furnishing, a walk through the Hall is always an enjoyable experience.
A remarkable house for a remarkable woman. Bess of Hardwick, a formidable and talented woman. Bess enlisted the help of Robert Smythson to design Hardwick Hall. Large, glazed windows adorn the Hall and inside the three floors take you on something of a magical mystery tour, with elaborate rooms designed to wow.
DAY FOUR – Departure
We enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning and then depart our hotel and make our journey home.
