Day One
We depart from your home pick-up and join your coach and travel south to our hotel in Gloucestershire with refreshment stops enroute, arriving late afternoon tea/coffee await you whilst your luggage is taken to your room. Time to relax before dinner.
Day Two
Today we meet our local guide in Evesham for a tour of the fabulous Blossom trail; we start at the tiny town of Pershore, famous for the Pershore Yellow Egg Plum, before continuing through Fladbury & The Lenches. Following our guided tour we have free time to explore the beautiful market town of Evesham and get a bite of lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon we return to Evesham enjoying a relaxing boat trip with cream tea on the River Avon before returning to our hotel.
Day Three
This morning we have some free time to explore the beautiful spa town of Cheltenham. The town is renowned for its Regency architecture, stylish shopping, colourful parks and floral displays. You can enjoy lunch at leisure in one of the towns many restaurants, this afternoon we board the Gloucester & Warwickshire Steam Railway for a return journey to Toddington, where there is a shop, museum and large tea room. The line commands views of the hamlets & villages along the way with wonderful outlooks to the Malvern Hills and beyond. You will also see the magnificent Stanway Viaduct, almost 50 feet high with 15 arches, travel through the mysterious Greet tunnel (look out for the ghost!). With authentic Great Western Railway stations, vehicle exhibits, a have-a-go signal box and locomotive yard viewing area at Toddington, there is plenty to see in addition to the train journey.
Day Four
Our excursion today takes us to the medieval town of Tewkesbury with its picturesque riverside setting. You could visit Out of the Hat, an exquisite example of a 17th century home and shop that now houses a heritage centre or take a stroll along Church Street, lined with half-timbered houses and punctuated with Tewkesburys famous alleyways before making our way to the beautiful 12th century Norman-built Tewkesbury Abbey, built to house Benedictine monks in 1211. Enjoy lunch at leisure in Tewkesbury before we make our way to the beautiful city of Gloucester, here you can enjoy free time to wander around its glorious medieval cathedral which was used as Hogwarts in most of the hugely successful Harry Potter films.
Day Five
Today we must sadly leave Cheltenham behind and begin our journey home, with comfort stops enroute.
