From high mountains to deep valleys, glacial lakes and man-made reservoirs, the beauty of mid Wales is truly one of Britains best kept secrets. Delve into the past on two nostalgic journeys in Mid Wales whilst enjoying the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park and through the beautiful countryside with mountains and meadows to the seaside resort of Aberystwyth.

We depart from your home and travel south to Llandrindod Wells, through beautiful scenery, arriving with time to relax before dinner this evening.
Today we make our way to the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Here we board the Brecon Beacons Mountain Railway, with its narrow-gauge track, steam engine and all-weather observation carriages. Starting on a lovely, wooded route it is not long before you open out to travel along the Pontsticill Reservoir. A truly spectacular reservoir run in the heart of the Brecon Beacons with majestic mountain views and even the highest peak in South Wales, Pen-Y-Fan. Well later return to our hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening.
Today we travel through the mountains to the beauty spot of Devils Bridge and to the Vale of Rheidol Railway. Here we board our classic carriage for the narrow gauge steam train ride through some of the most beautiful and rugged terrain of any railway in the UK to the seaside resort of Aberystwyth. We have some free time to enjoy Aberystwyth before returning to our hotel.
After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

DAY ONE
We depart from your home and travel south to Llandrindod Wells, through beautiful scenery and arriving with time to relax before dinner this evening.
DDAY TWO
Today we make our way to the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Here we board the Brecon Beacons Mountain Railway, with its narrow-gauge track, steam engine and all-weather observation carriages.
