HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens   |   Portmeirion   |   Bodnant Gardens   |   Llandundo

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home with our exclusive home pick-up service and travel to Llandudno, arriving at the Marlborough Hotel with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the town before dinner this evening.

Why not take a stroll along the prom, past the Pier, to Happy Valley. An Alice in Wonderland themed garden with wooden sculptures, stone circles and spectacular views of Llandudno.

DAY TWO – Portmeirion

Today we  head to Portmeirion. First planted more than 150 years ago and enhanced ever since, Portmeirion’s mild climate means that you can see all sorts of trees along the coastline, from Himalayan Firs to Variegated Sycamore. The shrubs, hedges, abundant flowers, lakes and woodland are nothing short of spectacular in any season.

DAY THREE – Bodnant Gardens & Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens

This morning we head to Anglesey’s newest attraction Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens. Three different gardens have been discovered; a large Walled Garden formerly a kitchen garden now planted with many perennials, a picturesque Valley Garden with river and waterfalls and an Outcrop Garden complete with a ruined folly.

We’ll then visit a world-famous garden that is home to National Collections and Champion Trees. With intimate corners, sweeping lawns, grand terraces and verdant woodland, there are many gardens in one at Bodnant.

Created over 150 years, with plants collected and brought to Britain from far afield, and the incredible vision of generations of the McLaren family and Puddle head gardeners, this haven of rarity and beauty with a stunning backdrop of the Carneddau mountains of Snowdonia is a delight for the senses.

We’ll then head back to Llandudno and our hotel where we have time to relax before dinner.

DAY FOUR – Departure

A morning at leisure in Llandudno, why not enjoy a stroll through the lovely peaceful Haulfre Gardens, a lovely walk across the face of the Great Orme. It may sound treacherous, but a safe suitable path has been built using tarmac to ensure a safe journey.

The Haulfre Gardens path stretches from West Shore all the way to the top of Llandudno’s town. The Path splits off into many different directions at different points of the journey. Towards the end of Haulfre Gardens there is a small café called Haulfre Tea Room. The scenery of the Gardens is beautiful in its own way with flowers spreading throughout the area and with the areas made up of rockery formed on the Orme. The flowers growing around the rocks and other areas make the gardens look like a wonderful place with a perfect natural atmosphere.

Later we depart Llandudno and make our way home.
