The natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire coast and the Gower peninsula are famed all over the world. Glorious sandy beaches and seemingly endless rugged coastline give way to the Preseli Hills, historic towns, and little villages. We stay in Carmarthen for our tour, ideal for visiting this delightful corner of Wales.

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel south to Carmarthen arriving in good time to relax with tea/coffee and Welsh cakes before our dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Saundersfoot and Tenby

This morning we travel west to the popular small seaside resort of Saundersfoot, where we stay awhile with time to explore the little harbour, before leaving for the short ride to Tenby. With the old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways to explore and superb beaches, Tenby is Southwest Wales’s main holiday resort and is always a pleasant and friendly place to visit. Our return takes us via Pendine Sands and Laugharne, former home of Dylan Thomas.

 

DAY THREE – Gower Peninsula

Our excursion today takes us to the beautiful unspoilt scenery of the Gower Peninsula, designated an ‘Area of outstanding natural beauty’. We also visit the picture postcard resort of Mumbles, delightfully located on Swansea Bay.

 

DAY FOUR – St Bride’s Bay, Newgale Sands and St Davids

Today our excursion takes us to St Bride’s Bay and Newgale Sands to the magical place of St. Davids, birthplace of the patron saint of Wales. St. Davids has a beautiful Cathedral, the smallest in Great Britain, well worth a visit. From St. Davids we head around the Preseli Mountains and make our way back to Carmarthen.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
