We depart from your home with our exclusive door to door pick-up service and join your tour coach and travel to Maidstone with comfort stops enroute. We arrive at our hotel late afternoon, tea/coffee & biscuits await you whilst your luggage is taken to your rooms.  Time to relax before dinner.

DAY TWO

We begin today with a drive to Royal Tunbridge Wells, here we have time to explore the famous Pantiles, a delightful promenade built in the 1680’s along with fine shops intended to serve the landed gentry.  This afternoon we visit Chartwell House, the much loved family home of Sir Winston Churchill, the rooms remain much as they were when he lived here with pictures, books and personal mementoes evoking the career and wide ranging interests of a great statesman, writer, painter and family man.

DAY THREE

This morning we take a trip to the historic Cathedral City of Canterbury, home to the Church of England, the city is magnificent with its cobbled streets and long high street with plenty of options for shopping, drinks or lunch.  Canterbury Cathedral is also a must-visit!  Later this afternoon we visit Whitstable the place to go if you like quirky shops, oysters and the English seaside.  The daily harbour market is well worth visiting as well as the bustling high street with its independent shops.

DAY FOUR

Our excursion today takes us to the south coast where we visit Hastings, perhaps enjoy a walk through the Warrior Square Gardens, along the seafront or maybe visit Hastings Pier – this is an ideal place to enjoy lunch.  This afternoon we stop at the town of Battle, a charming market town which grew up around Battle Abbey and takes its name from the famous battle between England’s would be rulers – William Duke of Normandy and the Saxon King Harold.

DAY FIVE

We head through the Sussex countryside to Dungeness where we join the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway for a journey along the coast with fantastic views over the countryside and sea as we ride along on the train.  Afterwards we take a short journey to Dover where you can enjoy lunch in the well-known port town.  Perhaps relax in Pencester or Granville gardens, walk along the promenade or maybe visit the Dover Museum to learn more about this historic town.
