DAY ONE Arrival
We depart from your home and travel to Plymouth, arriving late afternoon, youll have time to relax before dinner this evening.
DAY TWO Pencarrow House & Gardens Guided Tour and Looe
After breakfast this morning we journey to Pencarrow House and Gardens. A Georgian mansion that is still lived in by the same family who settled here in the 1500s. We enjoy a guided tour of the house learning the history and heritage of the Molesworth family. There is then free time to explore the delightful gardens at leisure. Later in the afternoon, we make our way to Looe. The popular seaside town of Looe can keep visitors entertained all year round and retains its character as a bustling working fishing port.
DAY THREE Plymouth
The day is free for you to explore the historic city of Plymouth. Take a stroll around the famous Hoe, visit The Barbican Steps and Mayflower Steps or browse around the city centre shops. The Box, an award-winning museum and art gallery with free entry, is also well worth a visit.
DAY FOUR Bodmin Moor, Jamaica Inn, Tintagel and Port Isaac
This morning we drive to rugged Bodmin Moor and stop at Jamaica Inn. With its Daphne Du Maurier associations and a museum filled with smuggling artefacts collected over many years. From here we travel to the North Cornwall coast and Tintagel with its dramatic castle ruins, and the pretty harbour at Port Isaac, setting for TVs Doc Martin.
DAY FIVE Departure
After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
