Stratford Upon Avon - Optional Shakespeare

Sat 7 November 2026: A Day Excursion to Stratford-upon-Avon with Jones Holidays

SHAKESPEARE’S SCHOOLROOM & GUILDHALL, AND SHAKESPEARE’S BIRTHPLACE, or STRATFORD-UPON-AVON AT LEISURE

    7 November 2026

    Saturday

    From £35

For the first time, visitors to Stratford-upon-Avon can explore both the place where William Shakespeare was born and the historic school where he was educated.

A new partnership between the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall has made it possible to connect these two remarkable sites, offering a richer insight into the early life and formative years of the world’s most famous playwright.

The two landmarks are just a short walk apart—a route that young William Shakespeare himself would have taken daily as he travelled between his family home and the school where he learned the skills that would shape his future.

Alternatively, you may choose to spend your time exploring Stratford-upon-Avon at your own pace, enjoying its historic streets, riverside charm, and plentiful shops and cafés—the choice is entirely yours.
