Cruise Trading Charter (and Booking Conditions)

These Terms and Conditions apply to all cruise bookings made through Jones Holidays. By booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following:

 

1. Eligibility to Travel

All guests must be 18 years of age or older at the time of travel.

Guests must hold a valid 10-year passport and ensure they have all necessary visas and travel documents required for the countries they are visiting.

It is the responsibility of each guest to comply with the entry, health, and visa regulations of the destination(s).


2. Travel Insurance

All guests are required to have comprehensive travel insurance in place at the time of booking.

Insurance must:

Cover all pre-existing medical conditions

Include cruise-specific cover

Include Covid-19-related cover

Cover destinations subject to FCDO travel advisories

Guests must provide proof of adequate cover at check-in. Boarding will be denied without valid insurance documentation.

Insurance details may also be submitted via My Ambassador Sailing prior to departure.

Guests must bring a copy of their insurance policy with them on holiday.


3. Medical and Accessibility Requirements

Any medical or accessibility requirements must be declared at the time of booking.

Mobility aids (e.g., wheelchairs, walking aids) must be stored in your cabin when not in use.

Failure to declare medical needs may affect your ability to travel.


4. Booking Process

Bookings can be made via:

Jones Holidays sales office

Jones Holidays travel shops

Online bookings are not available.

A deposit of £200 per person is required at the time of booking.

A binding agreement is formed once Jones Holidays has received the deposit and issued a confirmation invoice.


5. Payments and Changes

Balance payment is due no later than 100 days before departure.

No reminders will be issued.

If full payment is not received on time, your booking may be cancelled, and cancellation charges will apply.

Changes to confirmed bookings will incur amendment fees. Cancellations will incur the following charges:

57-90 days before departure 60% of the price
42-56 days before departure 75% of the price
15-41 days before departure 85% of the price
0-14 days before departure 100% of the price

6. Fare Options

Saver Fare includes:

Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, 5-course evening meal

Onboard entertainment

Gratuities charged at £7 per person per night, added to your onboard account

Ambassador Fare includes:

All of the above

Expedition drinks package

Gratuities included

All guests in a cabin must be on the same fare type (Saver or Ambassador).


7. Check-In Requirements

All guests must:

Set up the My Ambassador Sailing app

Complete mandatory check-in via the app at least 72 hours prior to sailing

Failure to complete check-in will result in a £75 per person fine.

Check-in can be done on desktop or mobile.


8. Cabin and Transport Allocation

Cabins are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

If door-to-door pick-up is included:

Additional charges may apply for out-of-area addresses

Transfers may be made using an appropriately sized vehicle depending on the number of passengers


9. Excursions

Guests may book shore excursions directly via the My Ambassador Sailing app in advance of sailing.


10. Pricing

Prices are displayed per person, unless otherwise stated.

Prices are subject to change and availability at the time of booking.


11. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a cruise with Jones Holidays, you accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of yourself and your party.
