(1) DAY ONE - Arrival
We depart from your selected pick-up point and travel to Lincolnshire, arriving at The Barn Hotel & Spa during the afternoon. Enjoy welcome tea, coffee and biscuits before settling in ahead of dinner this evening.
(2) DAY TWO - Grantham and Belton House
This morning we visit the historic market town of Grantham, with free time to explore and obtain lunch. During the afternoon we continue to Belton House, an impressive country house surrounded by beautiful gardens and parkland. Explore the elegant interiors and discover stories of the families who shaped this remarkable estate.
(3) DAY THREE - King Richard III and Leicester
Today we travel to Leicester for our included visit to the award-winning King Richard III Visitor Centre. Discover the fascinating story of the king's life, death and remarkable rediscovery beneath a city car park. We also visit historic Leicester Guildhall and enjoy free time to explore the city at leisure.
(4) DAY FOUR - Barnsdale Gardens and Rutland Water Cruise
This morning we visit Barnsdale Gardens, created by renowned television gardener Geoff Hamilton. Explore a wonderful collection of individually designed gardens filled with ideas and inspiration. During the afternoon we board at Whitwell Harbour for a relaxing 45-minute cruise across Rutland Water, with a cream tea included. Weather permitting, the cruise pauses briefly near Normanton Church.
(5) DAY FIVE - Departure
After breakfast we leave the hotel and begin our journey home, with comfort stops en route.
