(2) DAY ONE - Arrival
We depart from your home and travel to Dover for our crossing to Calais. On arrival in France, we continue south to the Novotel Paris Saclay, our home for the next four nights. Enjoy a welcome soft drink on arrival before settling in ahead of dinner this evening.
(3) DAY TWO - Chateau De Versailles and Bateaux Parisiens Cruise
Today we visit the magnificent Palace and Gardens of Versailles, where we enjoy a guided visit of this remarkable royal residence. Highlights include the opulent State Apartments, the famous Hall of Mirrors and the magnificent palace grounds. Later, we travel into central Paris to enjoy a relaxing one-hour sightseeing cruise with Bateaux Parisiens, offering wonderful views of many of the capitals best-known landmarks from the River Seine.
(4) DAY THREE - Chateau Vaux Le Vicomte
Enjoy a leisurely morning before lunch is served at our hotel instead of dinner this evening. Later, we travel to the beautiful Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte for its magical candlelit evening. Explore the magnificent chateau and gardens illuminated by thousands of flickering candles before enjoying the spectacular evening firework display.
(5) DAY FOUR - Monets Gardens and House and Vernon
This morning we travel to Giverny, the country retreat of celebrated Impressionist painter Claude Monet. Enjoy a self-guided visit of his charming house and beautiful gardens, including the famous Japanese bridge and water-lily pond that inspired some of his best-known paintings. Afterwards, we continue to the nearby town of Vernon for some free time to explore at leisure before returning to our hotel.
(6) DAY FIVE - Departure
After breakfast, we leave our hotel and begin our journey home. We travel to Calais for our return ferry crossing to Dover and, on arrival back in the UK, continue to our local drop-off points.
