(23) DAY ONE - Arrival
We depart from your home and travel south to the Sussex coast, making a suitable comfort stop en route. We arrive in Eastbourne during the afternoon to welcome tea and coffee followed by dinner this evening.
(24) DAY TWO - Bluebell Railway and Standen House & Garden
This morning we travel to Sheffield Park and board the famous Bluebell Railway for a nostalgic steam journey through 11 miles of beautiful Sussex countryside to East Grinstead. This afternoon we visit Standen House & Garden, a welcoming Arts and Crafts family home designed by Philip Webb and furnished with beautiful Morris & Co. interiors. There will be time to explore the house and its charming hillside gardens.
(25) DAY THREE - Michelham Priory and Eastbourne
Today we visit Michelham Priory, a fascinating historic house set within peaceful grounds near Hailsham. Discover its centuries of history as you explore the atmospheric rooms, gardens and grounds at your own pace.
Afterwards we return to Eastbourne, where the remainder of the day is free to enjoy the seafront, pier and town centre.
(26) DAY FOUR - Eastbourne at Leisure
Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Eastbourne. Take a stroll along the sweeping promenade, visit the traditional pier, browse the town's shops or simply unwind and enjoy the fresh sea air. Our seafront hotel makes an excellent base from which to explore this much-loved Sussex resort at your own pace.
(27) DAY FIVE - Departure
After breakfast we leave Eastbourne and begin our journey home, with a suitable comfort stop en route.
