From our comfortable base in Arklow, we explore beautiful gardens, traditional Irish craftsmanship and fascinating historic attractions, with highlights including Mount Usher Gardens, Avoca, the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens, Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park and magnificent Russborough House.

(23) DAY ONE – Arrival in Ireland
Join us as we travel to Holyhead for our Stena Line ferry crossing to Dublin. On arrival in Ireland, we continue south through the beautiful countryside to County Wicklow and the Arklow Bay Hotel, our home for the next four nights. There will be time to settle in before dinner this evening.
(24) DAY TWO – Mount Usher Gardens and Avoca
Today we visit Mount Usher Gardens, one of County Wicklow’s beautiful garden attractions, with time to enjoy the peaceful setting and explore at leisure.
We then continue to Avoca Village, where we enjoy a guided tour of the famous Mill at Avoca and discover the traditional craftsmanship and weaving heritage behind this much-loved Irish name. We return to our hotel with time to relax before dinner.
(25) DAY THREE – Irish National Stud, Japanese Gardens and Lullymore
After breakfast we travel to the Irish National Stud for a guided tour, followed by time to explore the beautiful Japanese Gardens at your own pace. Later, we continue to Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park, where a guided tour brings Ireland’s fascinating history, heritage and peatland story to life. We return to our hotel for dinner this evening.
(26) DAY FOUR – Russborough House
Our final full day takes us to magnificent Russborough House, one of Ireland’s impressive historic houses. We enjoy a guided tour and discover the stories, architecture and heritage of this elegant country house before returning to Arklow for our final evening at the hotel.
(27) DAY FIVE – Departure
After breakfast we say farewell to County Wicklow and travel to Dublin for our Stena Line ferry crossing back to Holyhead. From here, we continue our homeward journey to our local drop-off points.

ARKLOW BAY HOTEL, COUNTY WICKLOW
The 4-star, family-owned Arklow Bay Hotel is set on the outskirts of Arklow and makes a comfortable base for exploring County Wicklow. The hotel has 91 spacious bedrooms, a welcoming lounge and reception area and a large bar with plenty of seating. Leisure facilities are located in a separate building and include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room. The centre of Arklow and the sea are approximately a 15–20 minute walk away.
*Please Note: There is a lift serving most hotel bedrooms and the restaurant. Some bedrooms have shower-over-bath facilities and a limited number have a step up and into the shower. Specific room types are subject to availability.
