(23) DAY ONE – Piece Hall Halifax and Arrival
We depart from your home and travel to Yorkshire, stopping en route at Piece Hall Hallifax, before continuing our journey to Harrogate.
(24) DAY TWO – Fountains Abbey and Ripon
Today we visit magnificent Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, a spectacular World Heritage Site set within beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Enjoy time to explore the atmospheric abbey ruins, elegant water garden and historic estate. Later, we continue to the charming Cathedral city of Ripon, where there will be free time to visit the cathedral, browse the shops or enjoy refreshments.
Please note: There is considerable walking, including some uneven and sloping ground at Fountain Abbey.
Alternatively, you can spend the day in Harrogate at your leisure.
(25) DAY THREE - Harrogate at Leisure or York
Enjoy another leisurely day in Harrogate. Perhaps take a relaxing stroll through Valley Gardens, discover the town's fascinating heritage or simply unwind and watch the world go by. With no fixed itinerary, the day is yours to enjoy exactly as you please.
Alternatively, if you’d like to visit York, we have an excursion today where you can discover York’s fascinating heritage as you wander through the medieval streets, see the magnificent York Minster and explore the famous Shambles. You may wish to visit one of the city’s excellent museums, browse the many independent shops or relax in one of its welcoming cafés before rejoining the coach later this afternoon.
(26) DAY FOUR - Departure
After breakfast we leave Harrogate and begin our journey home, with a suitable comfort stop en route.
