With a conveniently located base in Harrogate, this holiday showcases Yorkshire with journeys on the Wensleydale Railway and Settle to Carlisle Railway, a guided excursion through the Yorkshire Dales and a visit to the historic city of York, including the National Railway Museum.

(6) DAY ONE – Wensleydale Railway and Arrival
We depart from your home and travel to Leeming Bar to board the Wensleydale Railway for a single journey to Leyburn. We then continue to Harrogate and our hotel, the Crowne Plaza Harrogate, for our three-night stay.
(7) DAY TWO – Yorkshire Dales and Settle to Carlisle Railway
Today we enjoy a full-day guided excursion through the Yorkshire Dales. We travel to Appleby where we board the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway for the scenic journey south to Settle, before rejoining our coach and returning to the hotel.
(8) DAY THREE – York and National Railway Museum
Today we visit the splendid city of York, where there is time to enjoy the history and culture of this wonderful walled city. During our visit we include admission to the National Railway Museum.
(9) DAY FOUR – Departure
After breakfast, we depart our hotel and begin our journey home, with comfort stops en route.
